The women's network emotion grew its revenue by approximately 10% in 2025 compared to the previous year and successfully completed its two-year restructuring just in time for its 20th anniversary. Since January 1, 2026, the company has been part of the newly founded Mediavest AG, which invests long-term as a platform for independent media brands.

Friederike Trudzinski, Editor-in-Chief of emotion since 2022, has handed over editorial responsibility to Alina Milewicz upon completion of the successful transformation and will remain associated with emotion (also as an author). Milewicz previously worked for titles such as Grazia and Jolie as an editor, served as Editor-in-Chief of Maxi, and worked for emotion as a freelance journalist.

Publisher Timo Busch:

“Friederike successfully brought together the individual puzzle pieces of emotion—the three magazines, the newsletters, and the major event formats like #EWD and the emotion Awards—during this decisive phase and developed the brand exactly as I had envisioned. Many thanks for the excellent work and the successful handover to Alina. We sincerely wish her all the best for the future and look forward to our continued collaboration!”

With the start of Alina Milewicz as Editor-in-Chief, Birte Mußmann and Christine Dohler, both of whom are already on board as Senior Editors at emotion and are responsible for the magazine spin-offs Working Women and Slow respectively, will be appointed Deputy Editors-in-Chief. This staffing follows the new structure in which two club models are set to play a larger role in the future: The foundation for planned growth in sales revenue was already laid in 2025 with the emotion Business Club, and the emotion Lifestyle Club is set to follow in 2026.

Publisher Timo Busch:

“In addition to the consistently strong advertising business, which is developing very pleasingly under the leadership of Wencke von der Heydt as Commercial Director, we are successively expanding sales revenue as a second pillar. The emotion Business Club is a key component here; it started well above our expectations and will drive our growth in 2026. I am very pleased that we have succeeded in securing an outstanding editorial leadership team with three strong women—Alina, Birte, and Christine—and I look forward to further developing emotion under the Mediavest umbrella. I wish Alina the best of luck as Editor-in-Chief and much success to her and the entire editorial team!”
